By marriage, Yeh-Shen’s daughter is distant cousins with Ashlynn Ella.

I just love the idea of their being a huge family of one fairytale.
It is a requirement for female EAH students to take pointe classes so that they can easily walk in those ridiculously high heels.

Do you know what this calls for?!
I know there seems to be a lot of controversy about the whole Maddie vs. Pinkie thing. I hope regardless of what you think, you can agree that humanized Pinkie looks darn cute with Maddie! I, personally, think that they would be great friends! I had a lot of fun drawing this and trying to translate Pinkie into the EAH style. I thought her gala dress would work really well for the look, so I went with that.
Drawn with PITT pens and Prismacolors on bristol board and then edited in GIMP to give the cute watercolor-y background.
I kind of want to draw some of the other MLP characters in EAH style. Any ideas for which MLP characters would go with which EAH ones? No one else seems quite as perfect as Maddie/Pinkie but I bet we could come up with some good matches! I’m thinking:
Raven/Twilight (they both do magic)
Ashlynn/Fluttershy (they both are good with animals)
Cedar/Applejack (no one is more honest than those two!)
I’m not really sure on Rainbow Dash and Rarity though. If you have any ideas, let me know! Though it’s going to be a while before I get around to drawing them. Also if you have a better idea for any of the others I mentioned, feel free to comment on that too!
I totally spent half an hour looking up shoe colour rather than just asking scott ‘cause I wanted this to be sortuv a surprise.
C.A.Cupid’s EAH shoes!!!
OH MY GOD
I really want to see Ashlynn Ella be late to something, so we can see her clothes turn into rags like it says in her diary!
Hmmmmm, lemme think.
Considering the fact that, say, Cerise is keeping her father’s side of her lineage secret, they’re not exactly supposed to be together, nor were they destined to be.
As for why he’s still the villain? Probably because he may or may not still be a crossdressing wolf that may have ate up Red’s grandmother? Idk. Or you know, wolves generally tend to be typecasted as the villains in other fairy tales too.
So um, chances are Red and Ned found a way to go about the story while somehow hooking up after.
How Red came to forgive him for nearly turning her and her gran-gran into his next lunch is an interesting story to behold.
Well now that you mention this, that actually would be interesting to see. Would it emit feels? Yes. Do I like watching things that make me cry? In a weird way, yes (though excessively pointless angst that drags on becomes a turn-off after a while).
But my character bent sadism aside. While the mention of Cinderella’s future untimely death was a liiiiittle unsuspected yet surprisingly logical, I doubt that she’ll actually be killed off like that. :P
In fact, I’m actually theorizing that pledging to one’s destiny literally and magically binds someone and related characters to their parent’s story, so to speak. Perhaps the magic of the pledge will cause Ashlynn’s mom to become terminally ill, thus cuing in the rest of her story?
Heck, maybe if Cedar takes the pledge, the truth-telling curse she has will be broken as a way to trigger her tale. Just food for thought.
I do love the official art! Especially Maddie’s, it just makes me smile!
When a true love’s first kiss happens, everyone will hear the narrators announcing it.

Do you hear the shippers sing?
Singing the song of true love’s kiss?
It is the music of the the narrators who won’t let it be missed!
And we’ll never be royals It don’t run in our blood That kind of luxe just ain’t for us. We crave a different kind of buzz. Let me be your ruler You can call me queen Bee And baby I’ll rule, I’ll rule, I’ll rule, I’ll rule.
Let me live that fantasy
My lawfully wedded waifu! I am so sorry this is late, but I’m coming to your belated rescue!
I’ve seen theories as to the meta-origins of the EAH student body and their fairy tale parents. Most of them I think are valid in some way, but as any fan, there are definitely theories I tend to vouch (and develop) on more than some.
Personally, I rather like the idea that, depending on their story and the longevity of their parent(s), at least more than a few come from a longer line of heirs of sorts, with some of the students’ long-past ancestors having lived though different variations of their story.
Perhaps in the past, to make up for some of the more gruesome deaths certain characters might have gone through, another sibling of a well-known parent would have a family/raise the next generation, or they would just go through a non-lethal version of the tale?
One reason behind this would have to be Hunter’s e-book preview. It’s mentioned that he comes from a long line of huntsmen, so maybe that could be interpreted that other hunstmen before him went through the motions of not-killing Snow White and kicking lupine butt?
Another thing that should be taken note is that, at least according to the Ever After High wikia, Ever After High was opened up in 1812. For those of you who who like random fact, that was also when Grimms’ Fairy Tales was published.
And for those of you who want speculation upon this fact? Unless either:
Then it’s a little hard to believe that there was only one generation. Perhaps names such as “Snow White” and “Sleeping Beauty” are legacy titles, and by becoming the “next” *insert name here* and fulfilling one’s destiny, they’re forever bound/known by that one name (with the potential exception of very close friends/loved ones maybe)?
I guess, in conclusion, I think there has to be more than just a second generation.
Or if the current students really are the second, hopefully there’s a believably lengthy explanation as to how this works. Which would probably have to to with some form of being very long-lived/immortality and a difference in how time works between dimensions.
or maybe the students are living in a very alternate take of a fairy tale equivalent of the late 1800 or early 1900s.
